HATOD Merchant Account Deletion
1. Scope
This page explains the process for merchant account deactivation and merchant data deletion requests relating to the HATOD Merchant app. This document complements the Merchant Privacy Policy and Merchant Terms of Service.
2. How Merchants Can Request Deletion
Merchants may request account deactivation or a broader merchant data deletion review by contacting hatodservices@gmail.com.
Please include the following details:
- Registered store name and merchant account phone number or email address.
- Name of the authorized business representative making the request.
- A clear statement requesting account deactivation or personal/business data deletion review.
- Any supporting information needed to verify control of the merchant account.
3. Verification and Review
HATOD may request additional proof of identity, business ownership, or merchant authorization before processing deletion or deactivation in order to prevent unauthorized business account actions.
- Request receipt and preliminary review.
- Verification of the requesting merchant representative or business owner.
- Assessment of outstanding operational, legal, tax, settlement, or dispute-related obligations.
- Deactivation, deletion, anonymization, or retention of eligible records as appropriate.
- Closure confirmation sent through a verified merchant contact channel.
4. Operational Effects of Deactivation
Once a merchant account is deactivated, merchant console access may be revoked, store visibility may be removed, and new customer orders may no longer be accepted through the HATOD platform.
HATOD may require resolution of active orders, pending disputes, chargebacks, settlement reviews, or compliance checks before final closure is completed.
5. Data That May Be Retained
Certain records may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, audit, taxation, accounting, dispute handling, contractual enforcement, or regulatory review.
- Order, settlement, invoicing, and transactional records required by law
- Fraud, security, or abuse-prevention investigation logs
- Regulatory, tax, legal hold, or dispute-related records
- Business verification records necessary to demonstrate lawful compliance obligations
6. Processing Timeline
HATOD targets initial acknowledgment within 7 business days. Completion timelines vary depending on account verification, request complexity, outstanding obligations, and applicable legal requirements.
