This Merchant Privacy Policy explains how HATOD collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal data and business-related information when a business owner, representative, or staff member accesses or uses the HATOD Merchant app or related merchant services.
2. Categories of Data We Collect
- Account and identity data: merchant representative name, phone number, email, and login credentials
- Business profile data: store name, address, phone number, business category, operating hours, and branding assets
- Operational data: product listings, menu items, order events, availability, fulfillment activity, and store status
- Technical and usage data: app version, device information, IP/network logs, diagnostic events, and timestamps
- Support and communications data: requests, tickets, uploaded materials, and interactions with HATOD support or operations teams
3. How We Use Merchant Data
- Merchant onboarding, business review, approval, and account administration
- Publishing and maintaining merchant listings shown to customers
- Order routing, store operations, status updates, support, and dispute handling
- Fraud prevention, abuse monitoring, safety review, and platform integrity controls

HATOD may disclose limited merchant data where necessary to operate the platform:

- Riders: pickup details and fulfillment information required to complete deliveries
- Service providers: cloud, communications, analytics, support, and infrastructure partners under contractual safeguards
- Regulators and authorities: where required by law, legal process, audit duty, or public safety obligations
HATOD does not sell merchant personal data to third parties.
6. Data Retention
Merchant-related data is retained only as long as necessary for onboarding, platform operations, transaction records, legal compliance, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and audit requirements.
Retention periods vary by data category. Data that is no longer required is deleted, anonymized, or archived in accordance with internal controls and applicable law.
7. Merchant Responsibilities for Customer Data
Where customer details are visible through merchant workflows, merchants must only use that information for order handling, customer support, lawful recordkeeping, and other authorized platform purposes.
Merchants must not reuse customer data for unrelated marketing, resale, scraping, or unauthorized disclosure.
8. Security Measures
HATOD applies reasonable organizational, administrative, and technical controls designed to reduce unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and misuse of merchant data.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Merchants are responsible for protecting their own credentials, devices, and authorized staff access.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, merchant account holders may request to:
- Access and review personal data associated with their merchant account
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete account information
- Request deletion or restriction of certain processing activities
- Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where applicable
